Default Why is my trap so high for my ET?

I know my 60' aren't very good but my MPH seems really high for my ET's. I only have a few runs on the new setup. My best run is 11.2@128 w/1.67 60'
Runs were made with DA around 2500 I'd guess on et streets without nitrous. I definately need more seat time to get everything tuned in better. My mods are in the sig and my car has some weight reduction done. I've seen cars with the same et at 10mph slower with a little better 60'. Could it be shift points, gearing, traction? I have 3.50 gears now, last fall I made a run of 11.5@128 w/1.78 60' with 4.11 gears. Thanks for any input. Here is my slip from the other nite.
60' 1.67
330' 4.759
1/8 7.268 97.28mph
1000 9.454
1/4 11.28 128.11mph

your 60 foot is slow for the mph and time! 128 mph hooked up for the full run should be a mid to low 10 second pass. I've run 11.37 at 117 with a 1.57 60 foot with only a 3.73 gear and 3400 stall convertor. It's definately in the gearing, convertor and possibly shifts, although I'd lean towards gearing and convertor more. A good buddy of mine runs 10.40s at 127 with a 1.43 60 foot. Tune the chassis and driveline and 10 second runs will happen!
Good luck!

Why are you running 3.50 gears? Most of the guys I knwo that run TH400's ( old muscle that runs 10's and 9's all day ) are running 4.56's with 28 inch tires, and are crossing the traps around 7200rpm. Most are running 4000+ converters too. What are you shifting at, what's the redline set for, tire size ?

How tall of a tire are you running? Maybe you can run a 26 if the car is heavy.

I've seen a friend go 10.4 with that same mph.

Your 97mph @ 1/8th shows the car has more potential in the first half of the track, many folks trap 100-101 at the 1/8th at 128mph.

I'm running 3.50's because my car sees more street time then it does at the track. I was expecting to give up a little bit at the track. I ran pretty much the same times with 4.11's though last fall...in way better air though. I'm running a 26" tire. I didn't want to cut the fenders to stuff a 28" under there. I'm shifting at 6600 with limiter set at 6900. I'm running an S1 cam 244/244 612/612 112lsa Thanks for the input so far. The car also has full bmr suspension, hal shocks, etc. On video the car squats and as soon as the front tire lifts the rear seems to brake loose. I've had the hals set 3 front and 4/5 back with 15lbs et streets and 15lb in the air bag. I get no wheel hop and the car leaves nice and straight.

The first things I'd try if I were you, since you need more umpph in the first 1/8th... Switch to slicks, 12psi or lower, move the shift point up, and make sure the bottle is hitting hard off the line, purge or do a bottle burnout.

I have a set of slicks that I plan to run eventually. I want to run 10's on my street setup first. I plan to raise my shift points a bit next time out. These runs are all N/A I want to get the bugs worked out before I decide to spray.
