Wade at ARE goes 8.97 @ 154 mph!
Congratulations Wade and the ARE crew, first 4th gen stock suspension f-body in the 8s! I'm glad to see that the LS1 beat the LT1 into the 8s
8.97 @ 154 mph from my insider sources, not sure on the 60' time or weather conditions.

Simply awesome! ARE sets yet another LS1 record (on nitrous again of course).
Now are 8s possible NA with a C5R setup?

Just got back from the track.
Raceweight 3250 pounds.
NO TRANSBRAKE (They had problems with it, the 8.97 run was off the footbrake! (8.7-8.8 will be possible launching off the T-Brake hehehe
Not positive on the 60' but I believe it was only 1.39.
Congrats ARE on a new record, the car has a LOT left in it for sure. It is a testament to the strength of their motors and their resleeving process.
DA was 722 feet. It was raining when we first arrived but it dried up and the weather in the afternoon was a lot better.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Wade at ARE goes 8.97 @ 154 mph!
Um...I don't think that is a resleeved motor. If it is...why don't they recommend over a 150 short on their blocks? 8s are an unblieveable achivement none the less. Hell...I hope it is a resleeved block...I have one in my SS.
