Crappy Track = New Best 9.94 @ 135
Cecil County this weekend for the Super Stallions of the Net event. Lot's of street cars and no VHT. First launch (foot brake) of the day and the car headed right for the wall. Softened the suspension from last week and managed to haze the tires to a wonderful <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> 1.38 60'. Only a small amount of wheel lift. The car went 9.949 @ 135.04. Weather (according to time slip): 68F, 57%H, 30.33 Baro. Anyone know what this equals in DA?
Hoping for some cold air this weekend and decent track prep.
Mike

Sweet run. DA works out to 238ft. Pain has a good DA calculator at http://xs-fx.com/da/da.asp. Another one that has a ton more information relating to weather coniditions can be found at http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_dp.htm or a slightly different version at http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_abs.htm. It looks like these calculate DA slightly different too, which results in a different number. You may want to check the math out.

Congrats on the new best Mike. Next weekend looks like it will be in the 40s during the day @ Cecil, but a chance of rain right now. What time are you arriving there next week? Gates open at 8am, Im shooting for that myself, so I have plenty of time to change the tires.
I ran at atco, best of 5 runs 12.10 @ 117 MPH, with a 1.64 60' under similar conditions to what cecil had. Tried shifting earlier, didnt seem to make any real difference.

I'll be bringing some guys along. We're gonna stop for breakfast if you're interested.
Your MPH seems better now. There was a guy at Cecil this weekend with the same heads as you and a smaller cam that ran 11.81 @ 115. 3700 lb car too. He still had the spare and jack in the car and CD's..lol. Was funny to watch.

Almost identical times and the DA display at Maple read +240. Goes to show that DA can be used as a standard for comparing performance from one track to another. 60' was better at Maple though but not much (1.335).

Nice run. I thought I saw you there, but wasn't sure. Guess I should have stopped and said hi. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
The timeslip stuff isn't accurate - at least not the pressure. We were in the 29.7x range all day. However, the temp was in the low 50's early, to low 60's later - I never saw 68F. When I made my best, the air was +200. That was about 10 am. Give me the time on your timeslip and I can get you an accurate DA.

I thought maybe you'd squeak into the 9.80's but w/ bad track prep, it sounds like you did a great job driving to get a new best.
Hope to see you guys down there. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

For sure I would love to hang out with u and some of the guys this winter.Maybe we could rent Atco together when TTR is back together?
Could invite Fireball and some of the gang from MD too

If you lighten that thing up Mikey you are going to crush the LS1 NA record <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
