Default Fastest f-body LS1 with stock internals, a 3.42, and a six-speed?

No internal modifications, 3.42 gear, 6-speed, with no nitrous, supercharging, or turbo. Give me the links and site for that car or cars.

Do you know how I could get ahold of the guy who has that time? I would like to know what all he has done to his/her car. Ive got all the things that you can do to a LS1, but I dont think that Im running that fast. I sure would like to know how he got it that fast. Are you sure that he wasnt running N2O.

postitive it was not with nitrous. it is sick fast how he got that thing going. he was only making around 350 RWHP too. it is the weight issue. rageman's car is completely stripped and gutted to get that record. the raceweight was around 3100 lbs! notice the mph and his lazy 60'.

I know that stripping the car didnt drop him a whole second. I think Im in the low 12's but not sure cause I havent been to the track lately. Ive done alot since Ive been last. I pulled high 12's all night with a flow, a lid, and drag radials. Theres still gotta be something that he did that I havent. Do you know if he is registered on the forum? If so, then I think that I can send him an email. Im not going to strip my car, so do you know now who has the fastest, non-gutted and being totally functional car?

Perhaps the easiest being via private messaging on this board. Or perhaps you prefer AIM? RAGEman143188. E-mail? AROSKOS@hot.rr.com. I'd even give you my phone number, but I don't want every crackhead on this site calling my house all day long. Here is the mod list on my car back in the day when I ran that time (or at least everything that would have anything to do with the ET or MPH)...comments by me to follow, of course :

-Fast Toys Ram Air kit
-Hacked-up lower airbox
-Direct-Flo airbox lid
-No filter
-Granatelli MAF sensor
-MAF Translator
-TB coolant bypass
-TB bump stop mod
-RAGEman ported TB
-160 T-stat
-HPP3
-Grotyohann 1-3/4" longtube headers
-Grotyohann 3" off-road Y-pipe
-Borla catback exhaust (wide-open setting)
-Pro 5.0 shifter
-Power steering bypass via shortbelt
-Polyurethane bushings in the rear LCA's, torque arm, and transmission mount

I believe that's it. Now. Since John doesn't want to give me credit where credit is due ( ), my raceweight, in all actuality was 3200 lbs. as opposed to 3100. Completely stock (nothing removed) raceweight is around 3500. Car has no options. No leather. No power windows/locks. No cruise (I feel like I've been through this a million times before). Etc, etc, etc. At any rate, I wanted to take my raceweight down for a couple of reasons. One, to go faster and get it down to where the other guys who at that time were on the bolt-on list in front me had theirs. As a matter of fact, my car is over 100 lbs. away from being the lightest on the list. And two, to lessen the strain on my stock (read "crap") drivetrain. More on that later. Now, then. The easiest (and cheapest) way for me to acheive my lower raceweight was to remove the interior (carpet, seats, seatbelts, console, speakers, speaker panels, etc.). I didn't say it was the prettiest way or the "coolest" in everyone else's eyes. But, it was the easiest, and the cheapest. I have no lightweight dollar mods like K-member, A-arms, fiberglass hood, etc. and I still had the A/C, heater, power steering assembly, both airbags and both bumper supports. So, as you can see, I COULD get my raceweight at least somewhere near 3200 lbs. and hide it very well by doing the lightweight dollar mods and by removing the things that people don't turn their nose up at when they see they're gone. Now. The run was also made in a negative DA, I'm pretty sure. The air was chilly and the barometer was high and steady and the elevation was low and I had a slight tailwind. Don't let anyone tell you it was 20-30 MPH or more, because that's hogwash. Also, the run was made on a completely stock LS1 6-speed drivetrain (unless you count the shifter), including a 3.42 ring-and-pinion - thus the less-than-stellar 60'. Well, when compared with the 60's of guys with taller gears, at least. This was also done with a stock LS1 clutch and hydraulics. And a stock (rare for a 6-speed, yes, but stock) steel driveshaft. 26" x 11.5" x 16" ET Streets and skinnies. No N2O. 360 RWHP w/ 376 RWTQ. Dynoed with the same exact mods I ran the 11.568 with.

Anything else you need, just let me know, because there is always a chance I may have genuinely forgotten to mention something.

As you can see, I'm the type of guy that likes to be open and up front and tell people EXACTLY how it was and not hide anything or hold anything back. I'd much rather tell you too much than not enough. Take care.
