Default Any Mojave heater updates?

Hey guys, I know a few of your were trying to get this to work. Anyone have it installed and functioning now? Are you happy with it?

How much total weight do you think you saved?

did it improve your 1/4 mile??

I just finished gutting my dash, haven't installed the heater yet. It's still in the box.

SilverGhost has his installed, maybe he'll chime in...

What do you think the total weight savings will be?

I'll have to weigh the HVAC ductwork that I pulled out, and then compare that to the ~8 lbs the Mojave weighs. It'll be significant tho.

I'm primarily going to use it for defrost. I like to run my car in the winter (year round tracks ), and it gets humid down here.

I've had mine in and running for probably 4-5 months now, I like it alot.

Mine is wired to the factory heat controls..it only has one fan speed when done this way(i chose high) but the **** thing that comes with the heater to control the 3 speed setting is a big ugly thing, and I keep my interior visibily switch free(my line lock is in my ashtray).

I just mounted it under the dash over the trans tunnel so it blows up through the center vent in the dash where the security alarm red led is..defrosts the window and heats the cabin all in one shot..

its a nice unit..and the install was easy..as long as you have all the proper bulkead fittings you need and the right amount of heater hose..i'd day i spent 2 hours max start to finish, mostly cuz I'd never done one before.

That is great you wired it into the factory controls! Was it difficult to do?

That is awesome that the heater works well and heats the whole car! My wife will like that

Do you remember which hose outlet was the send and which was the return off the motor?

This is sounding like it is going to be a winter project for me

Heater? If you remove the sound deadner and have lightweight carpet, delete the heate core, radiant heat keeps me warm enough!

but it doesn't defrost a windshield so you can see where the heck you are going in early spring and fall lol.

Chris..I can't remember on the in and out to be honest, as I recall I just used the same size heater hose for both(had to fanagle it onto the bigger outlet a bit, but it was fine) I'm trying to remember if the unit itself has marking saying which is in and which is out..it does I believe..i'll have to look.
