If this happens, I think we will all be set on kill. I stopped trying to go faster a long time ago N/A. I switched to nitrous and was just getting ready to go heads,cam, nitrous and a coan 3sp. I'm sure I left 2 tenths on the table easy. New mods will be 100 less lbs, slightly more converter, bigger tires, more gear and get rid of that damned TM. I never even ran open exhaust so I guess that might help also. I'm sure that a few surprises will happen <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> End of May is a long way off and anyone could put something together in that time. This will be ALOT of fun!

And - you need a true dual system. It'll put you in your peak power-band much longer, and depending on your TC's shift extension - maybe the whole way down the track. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

WOW, Im off the net for 2 days and all this comes about. lol Bob, Im up for this little race. Ill be there if the Navy doesnt have me out floating around in the ocean bombing you know who. lol I will try my best to be there. I really want to know who the best is and this is the best way to find out. Thanks alot for aking the time to set this up.

Im not even gonna bother listing all my mods. www.arlingtonmotorsports.com has em all under the customer section. Although the times are a little old. I did run a 10.76@125.2 on a 90 shot dry nitrous kit. Car didnt 60 foot like i had wanted it too but i still got a 1.49. I went to a sticky 1/8 track and managed a 1.45 with a good amount of tire shake.

So far my plans are not gogin to add and cam and heads anytime soon. But if i can find a job by the event time you can count me in for ***** and grins.

i won't be running, but will be attending if this happens. and here's my suggestion, if it's worth anything, since i won't be running...

Engine: Stock internals, are aftermarket pushrods and roller rockers legal?

transmission: anything goes.

weight: minimum weight 3300 lbs. doesn't matter what you take off, as long as you meet the minimum weight requirement.

suspension, rearend, etc, is all up to you. i don't think this would be a test of best driver, because if it was, you'd need one car, each driver gets 2 passes, who's gonna volunteer their car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> hehe. I think this would be more of a quickest stock internal shootout, with everyone facing the same conditions, and the same track. The ultimate winner will go to the one with the best setup suspension, best gearing, and strongest "freak" of a motor...

anyway, let me know if this goes down and i'm there with the camcorder in hand, and hopefully i can get my ATI All in wonder pro 9700 by then so i can put all the videos online <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> hehe. To the rest of y'all, hehe, don't you know our Texas boys will be bringing it home <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> hehe, just messin with y'all
