After that it's to see if I can run my old 11.56 internally stock record (something I did years ago in my '00 Z28) with a stock looking car. See, when I ran the 11.56 record the car was gutted, running on skinnies, Drag Lites, had 3.89 gears and a 4600 stall. I think with this car I can run 11.5s with a 3500-3600 stall, 3.23 gears, and full interior. Why? These '01-'02s are just stronger than the other years plus there are better bolt-ons available.

After that the goal will be to run NA 10s with the same converter/gearing and full interior. The camshaft chosen will be nice and streetable with a near stock idle. LS6 heads will be used. This will be sometime this year.

Then it'll be on to the 471 CI monster. We'll see how deep in the 10s you can go with a stock idle. Camshaft selection will again be VERY conservative. This will probably be about two years down the road.

I don't believe in factory freeks. I believe in variables. Those being driver, combination, tuning, setup, track prep, track altitude, and weather. These things can make two seemingly similar cars run vastly different ETs.

No. It's the same one that several others here are running without problem. I saw where the custom built converters are made and believe me, mine wasn't made there.

Interesting that you had such a bad run of luck. What exactly happened with your three TCI converters, what kind were they, and where the applications? How did they handle the warrranty?

I cut 2/3 of a coil off of each front spring. I removed the rear spring cushions. This lowered the car about 1 inch. This should actually be bad for traction.

Nothing else has been changed about the suspension.
