WIFE LOVES THE T-TOPS,I COULD CARE LESS. I THINK WEVE HAD THEM OFF 3 OR 4 TIME. THEY JUST HAPPENED TO BE ON THE CAR I BOUGHT. WHEN I TEST DROVE IT THE T-TOPS WERE NOT ON MY MIND AT ALL.

I guess I missed that on the poll.

I don't have T's. I just didn't care if it did or not. The car I was offered happened not to have them.
I thought it owuld be a huge weight advantage, but I have since found out that 13lbs is not a big deal at all.

BeaSSt, Pain, and Colonal all have them. Yes the weight difference is only 13 pounds. Also people say you will crack them under huge torque but not if you have SFCs.

When I went car shopping I knew exactly what my car was going to be for, daily driving but perform well at the track. So I wanted a hard top, auto, stripper Z. Everyone likes different stuff I guess, and some people buy cars not because of the options but because they got a good deal on it.

I won't get into the debate of structural integrity of T-top vs. non hardtop cars...
I just don't particularly care for T-tops, and haven't had them on any of the 4 4th generation F-bodies I've owned. I've always specifically searched out hardtop cars for myself.

I would rather not have T-tops, but TA's only come in T-tops (just would rather have a hard top IMO)
But i liked the front end and spoiler of the TA vrs the forumal. I didnt feel like changing those out of a hard top forumla, but would have liked to.

Re: Sub 12 second cars only please.
Mark Enwia's old Super Street 4th gen Firebird had t-tops. It ran in the mid 7 second range.
Im sure you will be fine. Just latch those puppies!
Ive had one fly out of my car and it will startle you that is for sure! LOL That was years ago though.

Re: Sub 12 second cars only please.
T-tops dont make a damn bit of difference. Pull off the thin piece of fiberglass on a hardtop car and you will see exactly the same structure as a t-top car.
