94 Z28 Project Complete
(forgive me for repeating this here as well as in the Conversion forum...celebrate with me)
I'm celebrating tonight (before the Sonic cruise). My 1994 Z28 LS1 project is now complete.
The last major item was an 8-point roll bar and 5-point harnesess.
The car
- is a 1994 black Z28 with a cowl induction hood
- 1998 LS1 (from my wrecked Formula)
- Thunder 224 / .563 / 112 cam
- Ed Wright tuning
- Yank built tranny and Prothruster 4000
- Hooker headers running through a 4" Magnaflow race muffler (sounds great)
- Interior is a mix of 1994 Z28 seats, 1999 Camaro dash, and 1998 Formula panels (kinda Frankenstein, but very clean)
- Ford 9" with 4.11 gears
- Spohn torque arm
- BMR suspension (LCA, PHR, Extreme Sway)

More pictures at: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pkoss4...S1_Install.htm
Street trim is a set of SS wheels and Firestone tires. Race trim is a set of 26 x 10 x 15 ET Drags.
Need to clearance the calipers a little more. If all goes well, next week the car is taken to the track for some trial runs.
Tonight we celebrate. Long road since my 16-year-old daugher's wreck (she'll get back in the driver seat at the track). Lots of work to get this car where it is today.
Tip a glass for/with me.
Pat

Re: 94 Z28 Project Complete
My sincere best wishes, Pat. Must've been quite a little project putting the LS-1 into the '94, even though it's a 4th gen. car, there are still many differences between it and the '98 car. Again, congratulations, have fun, and be safe...Go fast, too! WJ.

Good luck to ya and please post up those track times.

You mean Apr 6, right?
That would be tight since it is a Sunday. I'm considering but not likely since our spring break is this month.

opps yeah april 6th. You should bring the family down and go home on Monday. The kids can miss one day of school, I'm sure they wouldn't mind

Not the kids...the wife...kids a grown. She is a school librarian and has to work on Monday. Tried to swing it, but doesn't look like it will work.
Thanks for the interest.
