Default 1/8 mile time!

Well, I went to a local 1/8 mile track to test the new stall and longtubes. The track really sucks for traction, so I ran a VERY dissapointing 2.5 60ft. I only got one run in, and pulled a 9.1 on that shitty 60ft. I didn't get a MPH, because the right lane was screwed up. Do you guys think that a 9.1 is good considering the crappy 60ft? When my car was stock, I ran a 2.4 60ft once, and it resulted in a 9.8 et, so I think that my car is alot faster with the new mods. Oh yeah, I wasn't spraying. If I could hook up, do you think I could run low 8's on motor?

Oh yeah, I only got one run because I got kicked off the track 'cause my car was too loud with LT's and Loudmouth. (Midnight drags)

To make matters worse, when I left the track, I stopped by a local street racing spot and ended up getting a spectator ticket.

The only track I've been to is Holt which I think is kinda near you. I have a 2002 Transam Convertable and the only mods I have is aftermarket ram air hood, 3.73's, catback, and HPP3. My best time (after a fresh track prep) is 8.75. My worst time is like a 8.9 and that was with the top down and 2 girls in the car so i know your car has gotta be able to do alot better than that.

with your mods you are good for upper 7's for sure..

dont let that 1/8th mile crap make you think your car sucks. I have a local track here that i only spin on and run from 7.9's up though 8.6's. If you cant get a good 60, the 1/8th is really gonna suck

find a 1/4th miler near you and they see what she's got <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I race at holt too. Mod's in sig. Most 1/8 mile tracks are crap. The best time I got there was an 8.30 spinning. If you are in jacksonville I hear there is a pretty good track a little south of you.

I think that your Hot rod has alot more in her. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Can we have just a little more info? Please!

What kind of tires were you running? What was the pressure set at? What was the weight of your Hot Rod on the run?

I was on my stock Goodyears. Yeah... I know, I need nittos at least, but I ran out of money buying all the other crap for the car. I think it has more to do with the track being so bad though. The whole track is surrounded by dirt. The ONLY part that is concrete is the staging lane and the track itself. You have to drive down a dirt road to get into the track. People are constantly dragging mud and dirt onto the track, so in a word..... it SUCKS.

Where is this other track you guys are talking about?
