I ran the numbers with those wheels on it I will work. And if not I will build a bigger motor, I was looking for a reason to upgrade say turbo or all motor 427ci!

I tow with a 03 2500HD 4x4 crewcab Dmax/Ally.Trailer is a 2004 44 ft Eagle tri axle gooseneck.I weigh 16,500 empty with the truck and trailer combined.I can put two cars in it and run 70 mph and get 11 mpg doing it.The 44 foot goose tows WAY better than my old 28 foot tag.The only negative I see is it takes a lot of space to turn around and filling the truck up with the trailer attached limits you to truck stops only.I'm 60 ft long overall with the truck & trailer.I know why people put auxiliary tanks in the beds of their trucks now.

towing safely has virtually nothing to do with cubes, horsepower, and tq really. it is the suspension mostly and brakes. you will experience the death wobble/ trailor sway.

Yeah, those are the old ones. We now have the basic wheels that most trailers have, the wite wheels with the holes/triangles in them. Only problem is the new setup is taller so we had to modify the fender so I will have to practice getting out of the window or the hatch

Yeah, I always drive my car out to the local track, we got the trailer mainly for traveling to the events.

My trailer has E-brakes, but I do not currently have one. What do you have?

I work as a project engineer for a company that builds electric brake controllers. I'm currently developing a controller that uses an accelerometer to proportionally apply your trailer brakes in sequence with your tow vehicle. I need some people to run "mule" units. PM me if your interested.

Gomer, I need a new controller BAD. Mine is a circa-'76 model that either hits HARD or practically not at all. PM me with some details!

Custom made by myself. I am very happy with how it turned out, but spent more $ and time on it than expected. Tow with a 99 Yukon 3.73's and 112k miles....
