Cal-tracs are the hook-up (literally) for leaf spring cars. I'm probably going to get a set soon for mine, although the slapper bars are still holding on

As others have mentioned, I have a set of Caltrac bars on the car. Leaf spring setups suck and are prone to wheelhop, so those were purchased while the car was still in pieces. They also work well for handling, as they keep the tires planted.

I'm positive that I wouldn't have even been able to run those 11.60s on my non-drag radial tires without the Caltracs. When the car was still stock it would wheelhop like mad, and probably only had 180 rwhp. Sure, my tires spun like a ****, but they stayed flat on the ground.

I'd love a wheels up pic of my '69. That would make my year!

I've tried a few a different setups on a 67 Camaro and as Derek mentioned the Caltracs are the hookup. When's the next time you're going to the track?

Looks like my next possible visit could be this Friday. If not then, maybe Sunday.

Tony,

The car looks good. Let us know in the Texas section when you are heading out to the track. I still haven't seen the car in person since it was "finished".
