Default M&H Muscle Car Drag Race Tire

Has anyone tried M&H Muscle Car Drag Race Tire?
They are Wrinkle Wall and Tubeless.
I have a M6 and needing tire that will hook with a 6,000 launch. I am now leaning towards 26x10x15 MT Drags. If I go with the MT drags I plan on driving to the track on street tires then install the slicks. I would much rather have a tire like M&H Muscle Car Drag Race Tire that I could install at home and drive 80 mile, race and then drive home and reinstall my street tires. But the convenience of changing the tires at home vs track is not worth not hooking at the track.

What do you think?
Does anyone have experience with these tires?
Thanks

I had them but had trouble hooking better than a low 1.7 sixty. They are a decent tire, very stable on the street but wear fast. It hooked amazingly well on the street when hot. I could pull the wheels on a first gear punch on the street

I think I went 11.4@123 with the M&Hs when I had no cats on the car.

When I put the cats on (lost 16-20RWHP) and ran slicks I went 11.0@126.62mph.

That is a big different from DOT Muscle Car Drag to a slick.
I have Nitto's DR's that I am using on the street that work OK. I really want a tire that is going to hook at the track. It sure looks like I need to just order some slicks and get on with it.
Thanks,
Chris, also what TQ arm do you recommend for M6 car?

I ran a new best last saturday with a 1.65 sixty foot on the musclecar drag: P275/50-15, C-tread. These are mounted on 15" convo pros. This was with a 5,000 rpm dump with 4.56 gears, stock front wheels, bmr lca's, front swaybar removed, and hal shocks. No other weight reduction. I'm confident that these tires will hook me into the <1.59 range. The tire still had more to give, but I only got in one run. Need to up the launch rpm and mess with the hal settings. I was out of practice and ended up at 12.14@117, banging the rev limiter on each shift like it was my job. 4.56 gears spool up fast!

I've had these tires to the track 4 times this year. I drive the tires 120 miles round trip to Milan dragway. Drop the pressure to 15 lbs, heat 'em up, and run.

edit: I was using 17" nittos, with a best sixty of 1.98 -- there's no comparison, the M&H is close to pulling the fronts of the ground.

My track results are almost exactly the same just 4.11 gears and running at Mid Mich Motorplex. I really hooked well on this tire. Here is a pik of my car wrinkling them up good at 15lbs of air http://community.webshots.com/user/torkman15 And some of my track results on a diff site http://members.cardomain.com/torkman15 I had nearly the same exact results with my 17" Nittos and with a M6 I shocked the radial so hard they would always break loose if I hit em hard.

I run the BMR Extreme kit, it is awesome. You'll need BMR subs as well.

Taner went 1.27 in the sixty on spray with that torque arm with a six speed.

I don't see why everyone is hating Nittos' my friend cuts 1.46-1.51 sixtyfoots on his nittos everytime we go to the track. You just have to get them hot and lay down some rubber......

i have a set of the m&h musclecar drags. they hook great for me low 1.6 60's on a m6 car. i really don't use them much anymore,i now use the m&h cheeter slick. i've tried et-streets and drags, the m&h tire hes hooked way better for me. i also have a bud on the musclecar drags and has loves them too. if you don't get the m&h get hoosier, either tire is better then m/t tires. i know a lot of people love the m/t tires ,i just cant get them to hook. i pull 1.5 60's from the m&h with a 3,700lbs car with me in it. good luck to ya.

mike c.
Can you drive 80 miles to and from the track with a M&H cheeter slick?
Will they last?
1.5 60"s from a 3700lbs M6 car is awsome.

i drive to the track 30mi,back home,30mi and all weekend 120 to 140mi for street racing=180mi to 200mi. i have been on the cheeter slicks all year 1,500 to 2,000 street miles + track and no real wear YET. i love them. i could NEVER pull 1.5 60's on m/t tires.
