What I need to complete swap the TH400 ?

I want to change from m6 to TH400, so what i need to change and how much it will cost me ?

 

Trans (with speedo sensor in it), Trans Cooler, Dipstick, Flexplate, Converter, Driveshaft. The cost is anywhere from around 1500 for the trans plus a converter up to almost 4 or 5k for a fully built setup across the board. The price is really going to depend on what you want out of the trans and how much power you want to put into it.

I just did the swap last year. I would HIGHLY recommend getting with MadMan -- one of our sponsors. Brian is great to work with. Sent everything I needed for the swap. Call him for prices for what you need - race only, street, etc.

you will need to make a plate to cover the whole in the tunnel where your T56 shifter came up so that you have somewhere to mount the shifter for the TH400 on as well. I used an old steel street sign when I was TH400 before.

do yourself a favor and run a big cooler and use An lines from the trans to the cooler to keep things cool.

Ok an M6 is auto right? why does it look like some ppl are replying to your message talking about a T56? Hum...well if an M6 is another word for a 6 speed let me know because i have an A4 with a b&m tranny cooler and i was about to get a stall for it-but what i really would love is to convert mine into a 6 speed! So if you have a 6 speed-i have an Auto, lets swap! Thanks Joe

 

M6 = T56 = 6 Speed Manual. A 4L60E will not hold up to a TH400, that's why most people switch to that from either a auto or a manual trans. The TH400 will take significantly more abuse as far as racing goes.
