Default If the fastest LS1 wasn't a convertiable...

and was a normal t-top coupe, do you think it would could break 7's? I mean the car does 8.52(if i remember correctly) and it has over 1,000HP WITHOUT nitrous and weights close to 4,000 lbs. I think it if was as t-top and was put on a diet, it would easily break into the 7's. What do you all think?

there was a black 2002 trans am that ran low 7's at norwalk in ohio over the summer, it was a t-top, so ya id assume that it would break 7's

No LS1 has ever run a 7 at this point.

Currently the quickest ET belongs to Ronnie Duke at an 8.11. Trap speed still belongs to Harlan at 171mph I believe. Look for Harlan to best Ronnie's time next season.

You are correct....... man you started this thread and didnt even know who the current record holder was????????? man where you been the last couple of months........ Ronnies old vert cars record was shattered my Harlans 8.29 and Rick C5's 8.31 in a LT1...at Thunder... then just a few days ago Ronnie went to Florida and ran a new Best (the current record) of a 8.11.... in his T-Top car....

So magically losing 150 pounds makes a 4000 pound car 5+ tenths slower when its already in the eights?

Yeah, definetly.
Then you wake up.

If the car weighed less then 3,000lbs, which is possible, then yes i think it would.
