Default Some interesting info about the QA1 drag springs. Thought I'd pass it along.

As many of you know by now, QA1 now offers 3 spring rates for F-bodies. A while back, they only offered 1 spring which was the drag spring. The part number on that particular spring was OED315S. Now this is the info that I wanted to pass on...I myself was mistaken by this part number as many of you probably did as well. I assumed that the part number related to the spring rate, 315. I dont know how it got its name, but it is no longer used. I thought the whole time that the spring was rated a 315 lbs. Well after getting off the phone with QA1, the number is now fixed. Its current part number is 15FB275 and now has a relation to its spring rate. So whether you bought the 15FB275 part number last week, or the OED315S a year ago, its the same spring. The reason why they offer different spring rates now is so they can offer those who build their cars for other than drag.

Pro Stock John, the spring isn't necessarily old, its the part number. Its no longer used. Whether it's the new part number or old, its the same rate. 275 lb.
