Default Autometer Water Temp gauge

I wanna put one in.

Will the supplied hardware thread directly into the head, or do you need an
adapter? What size is the hole in the head?

You dont have to drill the head. Use this adapter this is how I did it with autometer

http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?..._Temp_Adapters

you have to get the M12 adapter. Drill out the bottom part of it and it threads right into the passenger side head.

Use the Equus adapter to fit it in the spot at the back of the pass side head. I don't remember the website to buy it from, but if you do a search for Equus you should find it - I'd do it for ya but sorry I'm at work and busy as hell (but not too busy to drop by LS1tech )

Any way to just splice into the wires on the stock unit?

The stock sensor is on the drivers side head, right?

are you reffering to the temp sensor location, or the fact that you can make the autometer work with a factory sensor?

Autometer makes the correct adapter. Just screws in, no drilling or tapping. Just tighten it in.
