Do I remember correctly? Didn't you have speed holes in that thing? You also had a lightweight aluminum rear end in there? Or was this someone else?

There is still a list of things I could do to drop weight.

I could get mine into the 27XX's with the light weight brakes and keep my carpet and interior
you are 6 years too late

I did some searching and found Magnus' webpage with some details on his car. After looking a bit it appears he was at 2660 still retaining the stock kmember and control arms. Wrap your head around that one! There is a page detailing what he removed from the car but it doesn't detail what was cut out to get it that light. He does say that he wasn't running door panels, carpet, all interior panels, and only the stock drivers seat. Enjoy: http://www.dxsoftware.com/magnus/

If you want to work on it and spend a few dollars 2400-2500 is doable. With the right cage, the body is merely and exterior and not needed for structure.

like Phil said 2400 is very doable depending on engine combo. Body is along for the ride. I'm doing mine very light even putting on a carbon roof will end up putting in lots of ballast to race !

My car at one point was down to 2650 with a full interior still in the car. This was with no cage CM K member, a arms etc, drag brakes, 10 bolt, pin on hood, speed glass front and back.

Now I have added a cage and some other stronger/ heavy parts, so the car is not that light any longer. I plan to run in a 275 radial class this year, and will have to be 2950 with driver. Not sure exactly what I will weigh just yet, but my guess is I will have to add a few LB to the car.

I always tell people to take a close look at the wiring in your car. Most people remove abs, and other similar parts, but dont touch the wiring for them. If you spend alot of time at track down all the unused wires in the car you can save a good chunk of weight.

How much does your carbon fiber roof weigh in comparison to the t tops? Also interested in the sail panel.

nitrous car 2500 with driver in the 150-170 range is do-able. our car will sit 2900-2950 with a 250lb driver and we don't have doors, side or back glass, rear hatch, front struts,

we get lighter by the day or should i say dollar .and lots of them....
