I agree, i stayed with 3.23's and ran low 7"s in the 1/8th.. I didnt swap to 3.73's until i upgraded the rear end.. I just dont think u would we see that much of a gain for the money. Save your money for a 9' or 12 bolt.

Yes there where some gains and i would recommend 3.73's in a auto..
With your mods, i would just wait and have it done right all at the same time. There are some people that swap gears and poor money into a 10 bolt to try to make it stronger, the bottom line is the 10 bolt will need to go at some point, if you keep going in the direction that seems like u are.. I am not a big fan of the 10 bolt or the 4l60e.

4.10's/150 shot/Nittos at Speed World and you think you're gonna hook? Even if you did hook you would run out of gear well before the finish line.
All 4.10's are gonna do is help you burn your gas quicker and with these gas prices I don't think that's something you want to do right now..
A4's have a good low gear ratios in the trans, a rear gear is not needed unless you had a BIG cam.
Save the money and spend it on suspension and a better tire.
You can go with a stronger stall(35-3600) too and be fine with the nitrous.
I hope you have money set aside to rebuild your tranny and get a new rear.

As much as it is an issue of hooking with 4.10's and a a4 But you could be fast approaching the 110-120 mph range. Maybe right now you wont break 120, but with a few more bolt ons you could theroretically be hitting the rev limiter.
Which means you cross the traps bouncing off the limiter or leave it in OD and crossing the traps under your power curve. I had a guy i knew with a auto, 383 lt1, decent stall, and 4.10 gears and the car was maxed out of rpm. So it leave little room for improvement, thus you must dump it into overdrive.

you ask this after you know i did that same swap?? too much gear for stock motor on the bottle. i have to shift into 4th about 60+ feet before the traps. and that's shifting at 6500 rpms. on motor, the 4.10s put me at 6200 at the traps.
will it help over 3.23 gears? yes. i'm now at 11.66 from 11.81 and the 11.81 was back in feb. 3.73 would be a better choice. unless your end result is going to build the motor with a cam that'll turn 7000 rpms.
