Your set-up aand weight and track prep are all going to make a huge difference in how these tires hook. With great track prep, 3800lbs, auto, they hook ok at 500rwhp for me...on a hot track I blow them off. They are a good compromise tire...better than the Nittos and BFG's that I have used.

Well i run the M/T ET drag radial and well im running 1.70 60 foot all day long with the tires at 19 Psi. If you are looking for slicks M/T's are really damn good. I personally think they work better the the E/T street or drag.

i know of a couple of cars that are running 9s on the little 275/60/15 m/t radial. my car is one of them.

my 95 Z has gone 9.82 on them (1.50)
my 99TA has gone 10.9 on them (1.53)

the TA has gone 1.50 spinning on et drags (slightly smaller tire). the radials mph NICE even though they are MUCH heavier. both cars very heavy. i LOVE them. you just cant hit them too hard. they ride incredibly on the street.

They don't last for beans and think "hydroplane" when you hit a wet road.

But, I guess that's the price for traction action

I got 'em and they hook.

i have driven them plenty in florida storms. i personally think they are a good rain tire FOR a drag radial. IMO they are better in the rain than the BFG drag radials.

yes all prostars require grinding the calipers.

If they are "newish" yup, they will work in wet.

about how long would they last street-driven (not everyday obviously, but maybe 2-3 nights a week). i also heat em good before a launch.

my nitto's are lasting between 6k miles and 8k miles.

i would like to get the m/t drag radials in the future but if they only last 1k miles then it is not worth it to me.

1) nittos can last 14-16K miles NO PROBLEM. you have to keep them at 22-24 psi on the street.

2) local guys have gone 9-10K miles on the m/t radials.

high pressure kills those radial tires. wears out the middles fast.

Mine lasted for 1K miles and 10 passes... the rubber was starting to 'flake' off... I did not like them on my M6 spooled 460RWHP Firebird... They do seem to work for some, just not for me

I have cut a handful of mid/high 1.4x's with my 275/60/15's @ 19psi. They kick teh **** out of the bfg and et streets I have ran. Tire life is fine for the performance they give in my opinion.

I love my M/T radials. At street night everyone with other drag radials are bitching because they can only cut 2.0 60's and I'm out there ripping off low 1.50s every pass. I run them around 15psi, I probrably have close to 2,000 miles on them and over 20 passes. They probrably only have 8 or so passes left in them, I do a pretty good burnout though.

Hey GM, do you run those prostars everyday or do you switch back to your other street rims?

Yep, I sold my other wheels and only have the Pro Stars now. I'm going to switch them out for Aluma Stars over the winter. Not sure if I'll ever go back to a full sized wheel/tire combo.
