Which Line Lock, any difference ??
I am looking at buying a line lock, thunderracing has the hurst line lock for $215 and SLP has there kit for $139.
Why is there such a huge difference.... is it because of the name ???
Any reason why I sh ould go with one over ther other, thanks guys/gals..

I got the one from Thunder Racing. It comes w/ everything you need. Pre bent brake lines etc. Thats why its a bit more.
Mechanically they do the same, but the one from TR gives you everything for the install.

I have the SLP kit. Went in easy. Has all the needed lines & everything. I would probably look at the SJM MFG ones. The only thing I don't like about the SLP is I wish It had a lighted switch that tells you when it is on/off.

Yeah I like the "NAME" hurst, but it isnt worth it,..... And I guess I can go to radio shack and buy a lighted switch...
Well if there isnt much difference I might buy it from SJM, was just on there site, looks cool, good price and it's a hURST
I had the hurst kit and left it on by accident and the solenoid burnt out and i replaced it with an SLP kit. I got the switch done at TTP and they told me that they recommend the SLP kit because you don't have to mess with the stock brake lines as much to install it (something like that, forgot what exactly). Anyway, the SLP kit works fine for me.

I had the Hurst originally but didn't want to mess with bending the lines. I have the SLP linelock installed now. Very nice, easy clean install. Mounted the toggle next to my shifter. The lighted arming switch is a good idea but not needed at least for me.
As mentioned above, we have designed probably the largest selection in line lock kits. We offer them in several configurations for different folks whom want one particular line lock over another. Which solenoid is better... ...they all function equally well.
Why do we sell them in a variety of configurations... ....well in a nutshell "for the folks whom have to have one style LL over another".
Our kits retain features and benefits not found in a bare-bones SLP kit as well as others. Our kits include a master circuit switch with remote LED activation lamp. In addition a control MOMENTARY switch is used to activate the line lock. As mentioned above, an on/off switch is not advisable to activate the solenoid. For safety, when the line lock will not be used, using the master control switch to de-activate the circuit is best. Certainly accidental deployment of the solenoid can be dangerous. Having a switched on/off control can be hazardous. What if you accidentally switch the switch OR shorts out....when your ready to depress your brakes...and they don't release...needless to say it's an accident waiting to happen.
Our kits include pictorial directions, no additional components are necessary. ALL solenoids are rebuildable. Teflon tape is pre-installed on all fittings; we even include grommets for the firewall. Preformed lines are of course included.
Our kits are ALWAYS in stock ready to ship w/in 24 hours of purchase. We are here to support any install questions or concerns. You can view all choices found in the braking section of our website.
Our kits are competitively priced and an outstanding value retaining the most features and benefits out there.
