Default What about Summit Poly seats?

Has anyone used them? They are just as light as the Kirkey Pro's (12-14lbs.) and alot cheaper.

Light, less expensive and not as comfortable in my opinion.

Hey, I have that exact seat, just got it, how'd you mount it in the car, any brackets I can get or did you customize it? I was thinking of just bolting it through the floor, but if I can figure out a better way, that'd be killer!

Too be honest I don't really think it's ugly or care if someone thinks my race seat is ugly! And too be honest it's actually quite comfy, I was sittin in it in my house for a while last night too see if it was comfortable or not and it was pretty damn comfortable, maybe it's cuz i'm a big guy, but I just can't see the kirkey seat being more comfortable than one of these and I too have the cushioned cover (I thought they all were cushioned, but I could be wrong).

My friend had one in his TA and they were uncomfortable for more than a 15 min ride. I sit in mine for about an hour at a time twice a day and absolutely love them. Quite a bit better than stock leathers.

What I did was used two pieces of aluminum, bolted them to the seat, then bolted those to a stock manual bracket. I can slide it back and forth, as well as tilt it forward and back. I think it is comfortable and looks good. To me, I think the Kirkeys look cheap and are ugly. But everyone has their own opinion.

If you are talking about how much it runs, I got mine for $65 shipped.

If you are talking about how fast it runs, my best time with my old motor setup was 11.23@119.71, cam only. It was a tsp 231/237 cam, with a 3050 raceweight, and I had a stiff sidewall 28 in et drag on it which caused me to trap at 6200 in 3rd. My new setup is about 200 lbs lighter, th400 with RVMB & TB, 4.30 gear, and a slightly larger cam.

Well, the car weighed 2900 without me in it it, 3050 with me. I sometimes drive it on the street, but mostly for the track. I just bought a 4in pin on cowl hood, lightweight battery, and I am going to be removing the passenger airbag as well as the whole HVAC system for next season.

How the hell do you guys get those cars to weigh so little? I have done everything I can think of and my car weighs 3430 without me in it. How do you do it??? I would love to get down to 3000 lbs....hell even 3200 would be nice.
