Not loud enough for me........ I'll post up an mpeg of my setup. Its loud as hell. I'm thinking of getting different cat back exhaust to maybe lighten the sound a bit. We'll see if I do or not though.......

I run mine with 1 3/4 headers, 3" outs, duel 3" hi flow cats, no mufflers sounds the same about, pretty mellow at idle, mid range noise is noticable, full throttle 4000 up sounds loud as hell. Passed the emissions test, big gain in mid to top end power over my old manifold punched out cats before. Mine runs back and turns down right before the rear end yoke.

I am thinking of going this route, I love my TSP TD's but will have clearance issues when I go with a better torque arm.

Do you have hangers on the bullets? Or do you let them hang from the headers, I thought that might not be good for the headers.

That's a real nice setup, but I would have thought it to be a lot louder! It must be the cam...........or like you said lack there of! That thing should sound sick as hell with a cam.

no hangers. they just slip on. they are not heavy at all.

Not really a new set up just barely got decent pics. Over your average true duals its about 30-35 lbs lighter and over a catback stystem about 40-75 lbs depending on the catback and if you had cats or not.
I'm all about light weight.

i know the TSP TDs weigh about 42 lbs, i just put them in yesterday. i weighed my old exhaust TSP ORY, 3.5" Mufflex Cat Back w/ a 3.5" cutout and that all weighed 69lbs.

so i lost 27 lbs, i should be around 3370 w/ slicks and skinnies w/ other weight reduction already.

im losing weight little by little. thats always a good thing

nice clips btw SUX2BU!!

Funny this thread should pop back to the top. I'm running a couple of 3" straight through bullets off the end of my Hooker LT's for my exhaust system as well. I've got better header clearance than in the picture but I didn't flatten my bullets out so the driver's side one sort of points downwards limiting my ground clearance. I must admit that the car runs exactly the same with the mufflers on vs having them off. And I have to agree with the car having the old school muscle car (or at least old school V8) sound to it. I'm still on the stock motor so the car is relatively quiet from the outside. Deafening from the inside though especially when @ WOT. My car is still rediculously heavy but losing 50 pounds off the exhaust system is a step in the right direction. I'm not going with a cam until I install my 408 but with 12+:1 compression, 330+, 270+ flowing heads and a 253/261 on a 112 cam it ought to sound mean'r Hell once that motor goes in front of this exhaust system. This exhaust isn't for everyone but I cannot imagine a more powerful exhaust system than something like this. You're supposed to run extensions off the end of open headers and these bullets turn out to be just about the same length as what you'd run for extensions anyhow. Win-win scenario in my book.

I have a feeling that once you get the new motor you will be swapping mufflers.
