Default Cutting radiator support

Does anyone have any pics before and after cutting out extra material from the radiator support.

I will here in a while... the lower core support is being replaced with chormoly for a new radiator.

i cut mine but dont have any pics. it turned out really good and it picked up at the track.

Here is mine cut out. Once I get my radiator I'll fab up something to hold it in.

WOW>>>that is EXTREME....I was just thinking about cutting out the cross-bar and then fixing a way to bolt it back in...making engine changes alittle easier...Has anybody else done this..(but not to the extreme...above)?

here is a quick after






we cut it and then boxed it and welded in a piece of angle to mount the radiator to.

Awesome thanks. I was thinking about just cuting out the lower section, and then bolting in a piece of aluminum to run along the bottom of the radiator to hold it in.

The only other question I had was about the hood latch bracket. part of the bracket attaches to the lower radiater support. If I cut out the lower support the latch bracket will only mounted to 2 points. Will the hood still open and close correctly?

You shouldnt have a problem with the lower mounting bolt, Mine broke awhile back so only the two points were holding it in and it was fine.
