I hope this is accurate as I got this info from Jeff Creech that has dyno tested one on an LS1. Back to back testing netted +1 horsepower with the electric water pump. They're supposedly worth a lot more on an LT1 engine though.

i was thinking about buying one but i havent seen any reason to yet. those power gains are not worth the 1 hp for that much money. the only reason why i would consider buying one would be for the extra space

If it provides power gains, great. I'm buying it to cool off my car quicker before making another pass.

I leave the key on after a run and let the pump keep running to keep the coolant moving. It would help to have a carpet dryer blowing on the radiator.

Or, a fan switch so they stay running as well. I'm sure there's a way to wire the fans and the pump to run together with the key in the aux. position, or just wire a switch into the car for just that.

HPTuners allows you to control the fans with their controls.

I usually run the fans for a bit then turn on the car for a sec or two to circulate the water. I got a buddy that sprays water over the radiator, cools it down pretty damn quick.

I just bought a Meziere electric WP, I'll let you know how it does this friday. Im sure Im getting my hopes up tooo much, but I'd like to at least see 1/2 a tenth. I just needed to complete my bolt-ons, so the $550 wasnt a concern since I already have everything else.

It may not add much HP or decrease ET times, but from what I've heard it definitely helps with throttle response.

1/2 a tenth is going to be hard to justify, unless your car is very consistent. The smallest weather change or a slightly beter launch can easily give you that (and more).
