Whos got the fastest 6 speed <500 RWHP?
Just recently got up to 489RWHP with the addition of headers on my procharged T/A. I was just wondering what kind of numbers I should expect at the drag strip if I were to go out in full drag trim with slicks & skinnies (best case scenario)? Is the power there for low 11's/ high 10's? If so, what do I need to do to my car so I can take full benefit of the power?

getting low 11s is not easy remember to always expect higher numbers so your not disopinted... best time for me in my six speed was 11.6 with 550 to the tire skinies and all that but i wasnt able to do my best since i only got 1 run....first time with the setup...good luck!

Well, my first outting of the season with the new setup yielded a crappy best 12.0 @ 117. But I was missing gears, and/ or shifting early on all my runs. Out of the 3 runs I got in, none of them were performed well by the driver (me), so at least I know there is much more in it, but I'd like to get an idea for exactly how much... No doubt it will break into the 11's with some decent driving, but I didn't know if anyone had got past the 10 second barrier at this HP level

For benchracing sake, lets just say 1.6~1.7 60'...
And as for the pulley, I am still completely stock internals and valvetrain, so I don't want to try and push the envelope anymore until I can afford to rebuild if something should go wrong and have a beater car to fall back on.

you will really have to get some hal shocks, lca's , torque arm, rear sway and no less than a mickey thompson on the rear to get a good 60 foot with a 6 sp car. you have plenty of power to go low 11's all day. 1/4 mi is all about the first 60 feet.

Thanks for the input guys. I've already got a torque arm, and LCA's. I can see getting the hals, but is an aftermarket sway bar really worth it tho?
I pulled a 1.739 60' on my drag radials last time at the track...

Poly links and bushings help a lot for the sway bar but they are cheap for the whole kit. Spohn sells a 25mm (1") rear bar with all the mounts and links for like 150. With that much power I recomend it. To the guy with NX, you have way more torque and are going to run faster than a blower car with similar HP. I can see a high 10 with a killer 60' and great driving in your future.

last year all motor i made 434hp 390tq(mustang dyno)stock weight,but w/slicks and skinnies i got 11.15@124. on a 150 shot i got 10.27@132. so...i'de say lo-11's will be no problem for ya.

When I had 477RWHP H/C I ran my 10.56 @ 129 with a 1.40 60' on a 28x10.5 15 ET Drag
I have 507 now with a retune, EWP and Boost-A-Pump, but it got warm and have not gotten a chance to try out the new power
