Default Mini Tub Guys

Hey is it easier to buy the mini tubs assembled or unassembled? I have the welding skills and my friend does bodywork and paint for a living so we have the skills and the money aint an issue. Just wondering whats easier. Seems the unassembled might be easier because i could move everything around and fit it the way i want. PLEASE CHIME IN!!!!

Might get a better response here in the drag racing section.

I normally get them unassembled. But I also weld them instead of using the Pittsburg seam.

If you have some basic ability and patience then the Unassembled will save you some money. THey are not that difficult to assemble, once you figure it out. If you don't want to mess with the that, then the Assembled ones are the easiest.

Shipping cost, works out to be about the same for either one. We have both in stock and ready to ship.

I bought mine unassembled from Wolfe, the first one was a small pain to put together, but it's not that bad. I also spot welded mine together after they were assembled.

I was looking at the Wolfe ones on their site the other day, and I'm not clear on whether you can use them with:
-stock lca mounts
-stock spring mounts
-stock gas tank (stock width and mounting)

I just built my own tubs for my car. We did just get a set from Wolfe for another car. We ordered them unassembled. They were very easy to put together.

You can use the stock gas tank and LCA mounts. The spring mount will be cut I usually use the Wolfe 2.5" spring kit.

I have stock lca mounts, I have adjustable spring perches, but I think they will work with stock perches, but you lose the tire clearance you are trying to acheive in my opinion.
My chassis guy took the stock tank out because he didn't want to weld around all those fumes. I think it would go back tho.
