hold on a sec, this is the first I ever read/hear of this.
If i'm running sub 11's I have to put it in the back anyways?
I would do the lightweight in the front. I just yanked my relocated battery and bought the Odyssey.
14lbs in cable alone. With that being said, cable, box and battery were about 50lbs in the back. I noticed no difference in moving the stocker back up to the front in the 60'. Not only that I dropped 26lbs from the box, wiring and hardware and another 20 from running the Odyssey battery up front.
For a street/strip car it just makes more sense.

www.gotbatteries.com sells them. It's a great mod IMO. I haven't tried mine with the new 408, but it never missed a beat with the H/C set up and we daily drive the car. They just don't have much reserve for radios, fans etc. I may sell mine since I'm not using it. I'm afraid it might be a little tough spinning the stroker over.

my 402 that's over 12 to 1 fires right up with my pc680. I keep a battery tender on it when it's sitting in the garage for safety, but I don't know if it's needed. I definately don't roll up any windows, no radio, no lights, none of that unless the motor is running, I figure as long as I keep that up I don't forsee any problems with it.

any body got pics of the hawker mounted? Do I need anything else as far as different ends or post to make the stock battery wires work? I want to swap out my stock battery ,I only have the stock wires for the battery so if you guys could think of anything I would need for the swap that would be great. Thanks in advance

I don't have a pic, but the only thign I got to do the swap was a set of the hawker battery terminals... I layed the battery on it's side, and used a 1 inch wide pieve of alum to make a strap to hold it in place. I used the stock battery hold down bolt, and then bent the lum to sit on top of the battery, in one of the battery case grooves, then bent it another 90degrees, and attached it to the radiator support with one good sized sheet metal screw. I tried to move the battery as hard as I can and it's in there tight, so it should pass tech, and I'm certainly not worried about it shifting around on me.

10.99 is not correct, Any car running 9.99 or quicker (6.39 1/8) or any car fastest than 135 MPH must have a Master Cut Off Switch. And of course any car with the battery in the back must have one.

That's what I thought... good to finally get that cleared up.

I used to swap mine out for racing purposes when I had H/C and then I forgot swapping it once and we drove it for about 6 months daily and never had any indication it was anything less than the big stock battery.
I got worried about the Stroker being too much so I went with a Braille all season battery. It's the same size as the Hawker, but with a few more cold cranking amps. I'll be daily driving it as well. I'm not pulling it out until it lets me down, which isn't likely.

FWIW, switching from a PC680 up front to a red top in the rear I added 55lbs to the car. Two sets of big cables, battery, cutoff switch and box/hardware adds up. No way a PC680 will keep up in the back if you have to start the car a lot at the track and you are running big fuel pump/EWP etc. But I never had any problem from the PC680 up front even bracket racing the car, but I didnt have the EWP and leave it run to cool the car off.
