Transbrake - Proper use.....???
Which way is better(if you don't have a 2step)
1.)as the lights are coming down floor it and let it launch off the converter?
2.)half throttle it to the rpm you are wanting to launch at, and when you want to go, let go of the button and THEN floor it?
I'm trying to figure out what is the best way and what is the safest on parts. Granted the car hooking has alot to do with the rpm you are launching at, but is it ok/safe/parts-wise to be at half throttle and then nail it after you release the button?
guess i need to start looking for the harlan 2-step in the classifieds

i have the transbrake wired up along with the linelock so the car won't move when the t-brake's installed. NXRICKY had posted a schematic in the nitrous section on how to do it.

your not using a delay box are you? do you guys know what kind of transbrake you are using? theres alot of things that could cause it to release slow. Full-tree (single dump) release slower that pro-tree brakes (double dump), it could be the selenoid sticking, problems in the button wiring, etc..
If you want to get practice, you could just bring it up to like 3000-4000 and then let go of the 'brake. But your current converter might only stall 4500 right now.

. Launch at 3900 on 2-step. On TB only, turbos blow right through the 4200 stall.David
