Bent torque arm, almost cut down the tires, (pics inside)
Well, I decided to drive the car out to Red River Raceway (110+ miles one way) Friday night to make a few passes. My third pass I dumped the clutch at 6k and it came out of the hole as good as it will being under geared, the pass is going good until I get on the big end and I start hearing some weird noises. So I let off the gas and look up in the mirror and smoke is blowing out the back off the car really thick and i knew it was cutting down a tire. So I get the car slowed down and pull over and the see the rear end shifted to the back of the car and the tires against the rear bumper. So i drive it back to the pits and find the torque arm bent, and my brand new tires ruined.
So my buddy drove his race car home, and we put my car on his trailer.

No, nothing broke, it just bent the lower brace, and let the pinion angle go way+ which let the rear roll back. I'll take more pics, the camera died on the last pic.
It cuts 1.6's just about every pass, I'll dump it a 6k and it will bog pretty bad cause I need to change gears. The suspension was completely stock except for LCA's, torque arm (random technology), and torque arm relocation tranny mount. And I haven't made a pass on the bottle in almost a year.

Not a chance in hell. There are alot of seriously fast cars that run the random tech TA with success. I am in no way interested in succoming to a short-style TA; i just don't agree with the physics behind it with "low" hp setups like mine. Looks like a case of just some bad luck Speedy, sorry to see this happen, but i'm sure you'll be back in no time!

We just installed our short length arm on a lmid-ow 10 second car, we actually replaced the long Random Technology with it. The car went from 1.6 60's to 1.4's. It worked excellent on that car.
Thanks,
Ryan

I agree, it was bad luck. There are to many cars running alot faster than me cutting much better 60' without any problems out of that TA. I've got bigger plans for the car later though, so I'm just gonna go all out this time.

Madman’s arm has proven it's self!
Just order one also.
