Default Weight Reduction after math

Not sure this is the right spot but im sure there have been plenty who have seen this..

I am cleaning up the trunk and the t top area for the fuel cell.. i went ahead and took the brackets for the antenna, t top holders and cd player out.. I was left with alot of small holes, my question is what should i fill them with? After i finish doing all this, i am going to paint the trunk, not a big deal most will never see it, but i will..

the bootom line is what are you filling interior holes with or am i being a bitch and count it as stage 2 weight reduction and extra ventalation

I used a two part epoxy my dad had brought from work to fill in all the little holes in the engine bay and some that were left from drilling out spot welds out back. I sanded them down then painted over it. Filling in the antenna hole with metal would be the right way to do it. I don't think I would try to fill that big of a hole with bondo because eventually it would crack.

I just used a firebird rubber power antenna grommet and stuck a black vacuum cap upside down in it. No painting/bondo

the paint on my car was screwed from the factory on the passenger's rear quarter.. and it's finally bothered me enough to look into repainting it. Guy a friend of mine knows is gonna do that one 1/4, and shave the antenna hole at the same time (metal piece welded in, seam seal the back and then grind/fill the hole, sand smooth)

Home depot has some plastic pop in caps that fit great. They are in the hardware section.

I thought about that.. but seeing as I haven't used my radio in 3 years, and now the car's too loud to even listen to it and enjoy it LOL, mine's going away. Guy's only getting me 500 to strip/paint the 1/4 and fill the hole, and blend in the door so it will match... so it's not costing me enough to really worry about at this point.

If you are doing paint then hell yeah weld the hole up. My option was for the guys not wanting to paint.

that's what I figured... your option will work good though for anyone not doing any bodywork, it was my original thought when removing the power antenna seemed like a good idea.

I dunno if I'd trust someone to do that for 200 bucks... I mean I've gotten quotes on stuff before like this, and in CT, 500 is a good deal. If there was someone out here that would do it for 200.. I suspect the place/guy would be ULTRA shady
