Default M&H Drag Radials

Who is running them and what do you think about them?

They have a size that is really drawing me in. 325-45-17. its a 28" tire diameter...

I like the 325/45/17 too, in fact I was going to order some a couple weeks ago but they are back ordered pretty bad. I like them because they should fit a stock SS rim and they are 28" tall. The tread looks suspiciously like MT's "new" tread for their new larger size DR's. Supposedly they hook great, but thats hearsay.

you would put a 13" wide tire on a stock SS rim?

M&H says its OK, so why not? If you notice the tires aren't as wide as some other brands of similar size.

I've got 'em. Hook great for my combo (low 10s @ 136). I tried the Mickey 275, but they were awful. From a 20 kick (off the bottle), they'd leave 50 feet of rubber.

Actually, it's the other way around. The M&H's have been out for a couple years, where the new M/T style is just coming out.

I have talked to several people that say they hook as good as M/T's.

A local guy ran them on his turbo cobra and said they hook great and outlast the MT's.

Thats what I meant. The new MT's look like the M&H's.

FWIW, I called Jegs again last night and they still don't have them. They are still back ordered.

See. they aren't that wide. On an 11" rim they look narrow. I think they'll be fine on a 9.5" rim, especially since M&H says so.

BTW, I ordered mine today from Jegs, as of right now all but 2 tires are spoken for in this shipment. M&H is out of them, so as far as know the 2 Jegs has are the only 2 available. I thought about ordering them and trying to sell them at an inflated price like an *******, since they are in huge demand, but I didn't wanna be that guy.

If anybody is still wanting some, my buddy should have the last two sets from M&H sometime early next week, he'll be selling of the pairs.

I got mine today, all mounted up. Pics later....

I will say this: They are VERY soft, I'd expect very quick wear for extended street use but (hopefully) great raction.

These tires are EXTREMELY narrow. Mine (325/45/17) measure under 10" at the tread, and don't appear to be any wider at any section. They are more narrow than the 285/40/17's I had on there. I put them on a 9" rim and they still look narrow. These will look pretty rediculous on anything bigger rim-wise, IMO.

They also seem to be taller than they should be. The specs say 28" but I had 28" tires on there before and had to clearance another 1/2" out of my rear bumper to clear them.

I think these tires are nice, but aren't the ticket if you like massive rubber out back. Guys putting these on 11" rims, be prepared to look silly. I do however, think these are perfect for the sleeper look on a stock SS rim. From the back the car will look stock, and won't appear to be packing much.

I will be getting the 390mm versions to attempt to avoid this.
