I left mine on. I drive mine too much on the street to risk it. Hate to have the insurance company deny my claim for 20 pounds.

Yes. And no it won't cause an issue with putting on the fender. And if you are getting the front end up at all the tires rub o it when you come down which is another reason to get rid of it.

My front bumper support has been gone for about a year now with no problems. Haven't removed the rear one yet.

Not to sound like a wimp or anything, I just pull mine before trailering the car to the track, and put it back on before driving on the street, it only takes 10 minutes once you get used to doing it. The hardest part is getting the metal cresent piece that goes up in there on the first stud, but once it's on it's smooth sailing...

Do you guys remove those too, or will removing it pull the nuts and bolts through the bumper cover?

I have alway wondered about that...

I think its around 20-25 lbs
and then you can cut another 5-7lbs off from the frame horns
so its total 25-32lbs I think

LT1 but same exact work involved.

Check it out, I have step by step pics.

Edit, ah ****, I forgot that AFB requires a logged-in member to view all posts in a thread. I would transfer the pics over here, but I'm on a thin client system at work now and don't have photo software. therefore any photo get converted from JPEG to Bitmap and are too large. Gayness all around.

are you guys that are cutting the frame horns off in the front using anything to box them in after the "horns" are cut out? The bumper still mounts the same as always once they're cut out right, since it mounts up high and to the fenders? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Done it, no sag, lost weight and looks great. It's a no brainer if you want to go faster.

Well i finally took some time today i did the front bumper delete. It was pretty easy, four bolts on each side of the front clip and thats about it. After i took it out i put it on a scale and it weighed 12lbs. I thought it was was going to be at least 15lbs but its cool all the little things start to add up.
