Default How many have done the front bumper delete?

I am not sure if this has been posted already but i was just wondering how many of you guys have removed the front bumper support? !bumper..

i did and it is mint. no sag or anything! Its monuted by some good sturdy mounting places. Dont worry bout it!

its about 20-25lbs and you wont miss it at all, just dont hit anything with it

Removed it and built a few brackets out of aluminum flat bar from the home depot.

thats exactly what i did, came out looking like stock and has no sag at all.

wouldnt recommend it for a street car.

Keep them coming guys. I did it on my 99 Z28 with no problems. I think i am going to pull it out of the SS this weekend.

also pulled mine and have made quite a few 145 mph passes with no problems or sagging.

Mine's been gone for along time too. Once the impact bar is gone you can cut the frame horns off too for another 6lbs or so. The center part of the underside of the bumper cover clips into the impact bar, so I cut that section of the bumper off. No sagging issues.

What about your impact **** along the sides below where the fenders go I see that you still haven't cut off yet another 10#'s per side off of the front.

are you talking about the fender metal? where it is black on one side?
if so does cutting that off cause problems with the fender? I am putting a cage in and plan on running the cage thru the firewall thru the fender well and to the front frame.
