Good luck on your setup. There is no substitute for a turbo. I like the car alot and wish you all the luck.

We thought about that and thats what everyone has done so far that we have seen. Really the front bars are not even needed to run 8.50's. We also wanted the engine bay to be unique and look badass. With the bars welded to the shock towers there was no really clean way to install them.
We are trying to not miss all the small details, after all its the small things that make the build worth all the hard work.

Update with pics 4-15-07
New Update...
We worked on it a little more this weekend. First we started by cutting out the cowl. There is no way that a high rise intake and elbow are going to fit under the cowl. We cut it away, but haven't really done the finishing work on it yet.
I picked up the motor plate that we needed to finish off the engine bay. It's the Madman motor plate for SBC and it fits really nice. We used an old junk motor we had sitting around so that we could mock it up. (This green motor is NOT going in the car!!)
That's it for this weekend. More coming on Thursday or Friday.

Very nice work. I love the way the snout(front, whatever there called.) bars are done. My cage is being worked on right now and i've been thinking of putting some front bars like that on my car. I'll prolly never go fast enough for them, but they sure look cool! haha!
