Good luck. If anyone has even seen pinks you may realize that you could have a 440cid twin 88mm car, but if you don't race it right...you lose. Please please please make it reliable (i.e. no turbo/blower) and talk/race with some brains. All out power does nothing for you.

I'm still for a th400 swap. I haven't seen all that many fast 6 speed cars in the 9's and 8's. I feel it's still a handy cap off the line and yes I know you can still make them fast but you can't beat a 400. And +1 for the 100mm turbo, if you can come up with the funds we shoud just make this car unbeatable. What's the best nation in the world guys? Donation!!!!!!!!

95% of the time the faster car wins. Unless your driver and negoiater are complete jackasses or your car breaks you will win with the faster car. I have seen so many races on pinks where the faster car just plays with the slower car all three races. If we bring some high 9 sec 6 speed car and they are popping off 8.5's we are screwed. Don't bring the knife to a gun fight, go with a big turbo.

If they are going to post that they have an 8.5 sec car maybe we should! Most people bring more power then they let on too.

why a th400 instead of a powerglide ? i say lighten her up to 3,000 lbs or so,glide and whatever setup you decide on. here is my suggestion, take with a grain of salt=
450+ lsx block,big frame 101 or 106mm turbo or f3 or f4 supercharger.
whatever you guy's build i'm sure it will be quick so i think ls1tech will reign supreme.

youre handycapping yourself with a 6 speed....be reasonable and dont build a setup in which after the first 2 races youre asking for 8 lengths because "hey were driving a 6 speed give us a break"
