I think its really great that your building a project car specifically for pinks. But i honestly find it ridiculus to be ls1tech members asking for donations. What happens when you win a 30 thousand dollar car on the episode? Will you be repaying every1 of those who donated or is that car going to go on ebay leaving yo with a nice chunk of change left in your pocket?

I am not asking for donations, and I am one of the founders of LS1TECH. Folks have also asked whether I would consider raffling off the car or selling it on eBay if we win, but I don't know yet. Assuming we win, I want to bring it to the GM race in October, and perhaps it can run a class there, I'll race my Formy in the drag radial class.

A donation is not the same thing as an investment.

This site is FREE, and in the 5 years of being on this forum it has helped me in more ways than I can list. I offered a donation because I'd be happy to help out the guys that make this website possible... I wouldn't expect anything in return, they've done enough for all of us as members here.

the site isnt totally free. it gets money from sponsors, and without all of us spending all of our time surfing around here, the sponsors wouldnt pay to advertise here.

Cart before the horse. This site wouldn't exist if we had not spent the money and time to get it started. We had advertising lined up before any members were registered, so your statement isn't 100% correct either.

It is a fact that the members benefit from this site at no cost to them. That would mean it is free. Because we run the site as a successful business doesn't mean that it isn't free to the users.

I know. One day I was like man I got to hit up LS1TECH but I dont have $5.00. Then I was all like "Dean, you dumb sombitch LS1TECH is free". Plus having sponsers stops me from searching all over the internet to find who makes a th350 dipstick tube for 4th gen fbodies and other stupid items that randomly need.
