a good friend of mine had 100% OEM stock suspension, boltons, and a set of 26" et streets on stock TA wheels at stock weight going 11.20 on a 100 shot pulling 1.49 60' - he eventually bent his tq arm.

good converter, enough torque, and a good drag tire and you will hammer out of the hole.

You have seen how both of my LS1s moved on the MT drag radial. Why do you think I recommend them to all of the local guys? I will put a 275/50/15 against a 26x10x15 ET Drag any day. I always ran faster on the DR

i run more consistantly on a 28x10.50 ET drag than a 275/60 drag radial any day of the week.

IMO, you can't compare MT Drag Radials to any other DR. They are that much better.

3500 stall with 2.5 STR here. 3.23's, 100% stock suspension and the rest of my mods are in my sig. Tires are M/T street radials 255/50/16 on the stock rims.

My 60's range from 1.69 to 1.80 with 1.71-1.74 being about average. I run 19-21 psi in the M/T's, do a five second burnout and I almost always dead hook. My best results are from reving between 2000 and 2500 rpm's and flooring it. But I have also had good success just flashing off idle. But I only do this towards the end of the night when my gas tank and air temps get low enough that I stopped dead hooking.

we broke MULTIPLE stock torque arms with the setup you are describing back in the day. bolt on and cam only cars with converter and a tire and nothing else.
