took my ps off yesterday.
its a pita at times w/out the ps, im gonna get the manual rack in the next month or so.
BTW just weighed the ps resivor pulley, and the idler pulley. they weigh 9lbs.
also i was thinking of making up some spacers so that i can take the idler pulley bracket off thats connected to the alt.

I dont run the idler pulley from the alternator. I just cut the head off the bolt that would hit the belt and routed the belt from the bottom of the crank around the alt to the bottom of the water pump up to the idler pulley. Plus I took all my ps lines off completely and capped all the holes. I dont like the look of looped hoses.

Razor Blade is right. There are two rubber hoses that you use a 3/8" hose mender to loop the lines, and you just throw hose clamps on it.
Here is a pic of what you need. 3/8":

Here is a pic of how to route the belt:

I won't have my car back from the chassis shop until tomorrow afternoon. I will get a pic tomorrow, but my alternator isn't relocated. All I did was delete the power steering pump, pulley, and the idler pulley, just like the pic above.

Whats the belt you're running, and you just use the single factory tensioner and route it that way? Has it ever thrown the belt?
I did that back in 1998 when I first started messing with my car and heard about routing around the p/s to drop et / gain mph and tried it, picked up over 2 tenths and a few mph, but it tossed the belt =/
And what's the purpose of looping the lines to keep power steering fluid inside to keep it lubed up?
I took off my belt, I am going to run mine using the alternator idler pulley with a tensioner ribbed pulley on it instead, it keeps the belt shorter between each pulley and also gives a lot more clearance between the belt and the harmonic balancer pulley.
So it goes under the water pump, over the alternator pulley that has a ribbed pulley, around the alternator, under the crank and to the tensioner.
I'll say which belt I use once I get the additional tensioner pulley.
