Default help with traction

the vids are labeled, but car like wheel hops off the line, i flash the stall on 125 normally and spin like this

i used to have 3.73 and 3200 stall and hit the 125 shot at 3500 rpm, now i try to flash the stall on 125 shot with a 3600 stall and 3.42 no luck

bmr relocation brackets on lowest setting, and umi poly poly lca's

i even tried flashing it with 75 shot then grabbing the 125 and it spun worse!

stock tq arm and stock springs/shocks
madman somebody whats causing this?

that made me laugh

I say you should get a torque arm since you have a stock one, they seem to help with wheel hop.

Here's a few options:

http://www.spohn.net/category.cfm?categoryid=1049

Jeg's and edelbrock have them as well on the jegs website

Daniel,

What rear setup do you have? What I was hearing wasn't wheel hop as much as intermitant slipping, such as your LSD was not locking completely... Is it shaking the car on launch, and kinda giving you a feeling like your rowing the tires? (like a rowboat, right, left, right, left, right, left, etc...) That is normally the feel of wheel hop...

its a stock 10 bolt with 3.42 welded posi...i thought the same, as if one tire was getting all the power and almost enough to hold it but not quite...

no on the rowing feeling...its as if im in tire shake (both jump loose and grab lose and grab) the car sometimes will skate 1/2 inch or something one way or the other as its skipping...

the tq arm had the bolt holes stretched out a little last time i swapped rears so we pulled it out and welded washers around the holes for now, i know i need a new one but is that the problem for sure? i wanna get a body mount adjustable just kinda broke

weird i used to cut 1.50 (3200 stall and window switch at 3500)
now i flash a 3600 on 125 shot and it does this?, cars light too, should weight about 3200

Like 1slowformula said, it sounds like your slipping traction. Kinda' like your tires are skidding. I've seen it before on my car .. a long (longer than normal) burnout (maybe making the tires a little too soft) and tired track conditions (getting late in the evening) seemed to be the most likey cause(s). I dropped lost .05 off my 60' because of it.

Daniel,

How many passes and/or steet driving is on the M/T drag radials?

I know of a couple people who start having inconsistancy issues with them after 30 - 40 passes, mine are getting to that point and starting to do the same as yours...

track only...about 25 passes and they were used about 8 or so before that i think...

prolly 300 street miles....they just got through the tread and have been slick for about 5 pases...i dont know how long they last once the tread is gone but i figured they would hook better now that they have more contact patch?????

You need new tires.... I noticed them at Yello Belly yesterday and they are done. What all did you get tickets for?

i have seen on more then once that when you weld the diff and use stock axles the axles twist back and forth causing the car to wheel hop or feel like the tires are shaking

At first, I had aftermarket LCS' and P/H bar ... still had wheel hop. I then bought a set of 4 of the older style HD Bilsteins and never had a wheel hop problem again.
