Default ABS delete question

I installed the SJM ABS delete kit and now the "Brake" light keeps coming on. It doesn't come on until about 5 sec after I start the car. I'm almost positive it’s the same idiot light for the parking break and my parking brake is defiantly down. And Ideas?

your car is trying to tell you your ABS system isn't working, but i'm guessing you knew that already

If I remember correct the red brake light should not come on if you are having ABS issues. It only will/should come on if the parking brake pedal is set or if there is a pressure loss or major pressure imbalance in the system. If the parking brake pedal is up and not set you may need to further bleed the system as you may have some air in it. Just my thoughts, may be something else though I haven't thought of just yet. Good luck.

you deleted your abs correct? so it infact will light up the brake light and abs light for faults. you can do what i did. remove the guage cluster and use a soldering gun to heat the contact points and pull the leds out... now i have no lights on my dash while driving

My BRAKE lights up too with ABS gone. What I did was pulled back the face of the gages and put a piece of black electrical tape over where it says BRAKE on the cluster. It was easy to do and I didn't have to mess with the LEDs and you can no longer see the light. By pulling back the face I mean kinda in the same way you change your gauges to white face, you just pull the face back, you don't have to take it all the way off.

takes nothing but a couple minutes more to remove the led and doesnt look like you "did" anything. i guess im just really picky and like to make everything look subtle and take the extra time to give it that "touch"

You can't tell I did anything on mine as well, the tape is under the cluster face and can't be seen. I didn't want to mess with the LEDs.
