If the race was supposed to carb'd shitboxes, then I'm sure that John could have found a carb'd big block on the gun to bring down there.. there's no shortage of those around chicago. But the race was supposed to be 2 latemodel internet sites showcasing late model performance.. it wasn't.. and wasn't worth risking the car. They didn't want to do a cash race, so there was no race. They said they are trying to set something back up with the original people which would be what it was supposed to be from the beginning.. and what everyone wants to see.

I was extremely disappointed by the actions taken by the LS1Tech team, i went there as a former F-body owner wanting to see you guys clean house, yet as far as i could see you bitched up to, as already said more than once, a mid 10's AT BEST Mustang.

It was a messed up situation. It was deffinetly kick *** to see them come out to one of our local spots and watch them run a couple of the faster cars and some bikes in our area. 
Real down to earth guys we even had to help then get air and gas because they had planned on getting both from the track which wasnt easy but we made it happen.

I just walked in the door from getting home. Im not going to lie i was pretty pissed that the tech crew did what they did. That was the only reason we drove down there. As for the mustang i talked to the malibu owners and they said they had a 10.8 car and they were spottting the mustang 2 leangths. Which would make the mustang around a 11.0 car. The mustang did look slow and was a bucket of ****, the car looked rattle canned. The mustang wound up breaking the harmonic ballancer pully off and it blew up. It was a lose, lose situation for the tech crew however because even if you win you get a mustang that was worth 4 grand running and about $1500 after it blew up. Im not taking it out on PSJ I was justed pissed when I walked up to the mustang guys and asked if they were racing the ls1tech car and they told me that they backed down. On a side note what do the sponsers think that donated parts to a car that didnt get there name on tv.

The way I see it. The Tech Team did right by pulling out. Say you roll up in your 2000 Z, built with the best stuff you can get your hands on, with the confidence that you'll be competing against something of equal value, prepared to watch your ride drive away on someone else's trailer if you lose. Next thing you know, there's a 20 yr old, rattle can POS that's worth less than the tires and wheels on your ride. If it's my Z, I'm taking my ball home. I'm not giving some 2 tooth hillbilly who threw threw his junk together in 2 weeks time the chance to take my ride home. When it's your ride and rep on the line, are you going to take the deal? Are you going to risk your time and money, and sponsors time and money? I know how hard it is to drive 1000 miles to not even race, I'll give props to the crew for being able to back off and take this ridicule from members here. The way I see it, they made the only decision they could.

That is the bigger thing really... when you agree to bring a 10.5 car that's one thing.. but when you see some shitpile that you're supposed to race that is probably a 1000 dollar car regardless if it "could" run the #, or is way faster how that would be possible I dunno.... that's not right. After all the sponsors putting $ into the car and the time that was put into it I can't see risking it for a chance to win something that you couldn't even sell for the gas $ to get it home.
