You don't have anything to worry about right off. Long term, it will probably affect the the car.

Why even do that?? Buy some $150 dollar sfc's and put em on and then you don't have to ask these questions...

Or a door and hatch that won't shut.

Squeaks and rattles galore coming your way.

I wouldn't do it.... why risk scrweing the car up over a piece of paper? Get a set of bolt in frame connectors and put them on.... have them welded on when yo uhave the $. That's the first mod I tell people to do, so that way the car stays strait.

Does a 6-pt roll bar reduce the immediate need for a set of SFC's? just curious. I wanted to get the car rolling before finding a used set or custom making some.

I didn't have subframe conectors on mine. I think my car has well over 2500 passes on it with 60fts in the 1.47-1.69 range. My car always has launched strait. It lifts the left tire about 3inchs and the passenger tire about 2 inches. I just did a 12pt cage and did subframe conectors while the cage was being done. I haven't got it back together yet though.

So far the car is still strait and everything lines up. I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad investment though.

A 6-point roll bar increases the car's stiffness far more effectively than SFCs.

Maybe not remove the entire framt connector... but maybe cut the diamond part out of the canter. I'm in the same boat right now, I see a ton of people that just run the bmr style that run along the otuer edge of the frame and they are fine, epsecially with a rollbar/10 pt in the car. I've been cinsidering cutting the diamond portion off, and I think I'm about ready to do it.
