Default what makes a car get to the 60ft?

efficiently. im in the process of doing a bunc of new things to the car so i would like to start correcting the suspension as well. right now i have the rookie mistake of buying a bunch of aftermarket parts bolted on the suspension. now i need to start getting it set up to actually work. i will need to swap to an adj lca to fit the 28's so i figure ill start there. right now pinion angle is about -2 and lca angle is 0. (lowest hole on relocation brackets) that will change a bit with the 28's though and i dont think in my favor. so far my best 60' is a 1.69 which is pathetic for a car that at the time was making 394 rwhp/ 360rwtq. its a 6 speed and my 2 step was at 6200. was i trying to leave too high? is my suspension set up that far off? i also have another rookie mistake of an aluminum flywheel which i know is hurting me and is coming out in favor of a steel one. lets hear it guys-bash me if u must but give a brother a hand.

set up is as follows:
qa1 drag series w/ 300 lb spring/ eibach springs in rear set at 5 front and 6 rear
lakewood lca's/ adj. panhard
spohn 25mm solid rear sway bar
bmr adj. t/a @ -2
no front sway bar
slp diamond subframes

What are your front shocks set on? What tire PSI do you run? Have you ever tried leaving at a little lower rpm, just to see if it'll hook?

you dont make enough torque to the wheels. the car noses over terribly bad. you arent able to load the rear tires when this happens. i would set the rear shocks as stiff as possible with that single adj shock. plant the tires harder and keep them planted with torque.

looks to me that your suspension is working. aluminum flywheels are not good for street/strip drag cars. i have no idea why guys put them on their cars. but that isnt effecting your car that much.

ya when i put it in my plans for the car were much diff then they are now. at the time it was bolt ons and that was as far as i was going to take it. things have obviously changed. unfortunately i only got 3 runs that day-1 clean, 1 breaking, and 1 with it broke so i havent toyed with it much but i dont know where to start. all help is appreciated.

I think you are def. launching at too high of an RPM. It's my understanding that you want to launch at max TQ and let the HP finish out the 60. You should be launching at 5250 where the crossover is from TQ to HP. Just my .02

spray the car. with your current plans you should have no problem hitting the tires and making the car hook./

i still want it to run decent on motor beings that will be the majority of my runs. the nitrous is just because im bored and needed something else to do. so u think maybe dropping the launch rpm some and adding air to the rear tires and making the rear shocks stiffer is the direction i need to start in?

just leave off the limiter and see how it does.

---how does lowering your launch RPM help with bog?
