Do you still have your old top end setup? will the new pistons work with the heads?

i mean hell, make a product, make it well, make ENOUGH of them, understate and over deliver. its like every company talks up their product, overstates when it will be ready, and then under delivers (doesnt make enough of them).

even for a high end motor, those heads are in high demand as are the other parts apparently. it would make sense if it were some product never before made, but a crank for a 454 or a set of heads that are like diamonds to women? come on. if someone could bust in and simply do that for "top shelf" parts theyd take over. take the most popular combinations then have a few variations that are outside the box. have cnc programs ready to go for things that arent stocked because of rarity. hold onto each piston design minus the names associated with them and possibly put a set or 2 away just in case among a few other things. ANYTHING to cut down on this stuff. well im just gonna end my rant.. i know theres a choice but when it comes to so much money, you should get a great product and better service in a reasonable amount of time.

your next purchase should be a cnc center so you and the mad scientist over there can just do it your damn selves and probably get it quicker.

btw... wasnt this supposed to be a 7 second street car anyways?
everybody makes it sound so simple. the major problem is that with the low volumes of high end parts and the cost it takes to develop them-they don't make a company any money. The money is made in the lower end high volume stuff. The high end stuff is to show what the company is capable of and to attract the lower end customers. What wins on sunday, sells on monday is 100% true in this business. Everybody wants everybody to have what they want at that point in time-it can't happen.

I don't know if it's because i've been racing for along time, or my age or what. But i've come to learn there is no sense is rushing to the track with a half *** combination only to make a couple passes and break something or be disappointed in the results. While we could have used ls7 heads on this-would it run as good-not hardly. It will run much better with this combo. I've been working on my car for 2.5 years-could i have slammed it back together when it broke-sure,but for what? Now 2.5 years later i have one of the baddest engine combos to ever grace the turbocharged world. Will it be worth it-yes. Patience is your friend.

So no pics of the engine, race car is ready minus some firewall mods...

My wife says I am a project *****. 3 new projects... Landscaping, finish off the 2500 sq/ft basement and clean out the woods.....

I have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms completely done in the basement, started on a play room for the boys, utility room(hot water heater, air handler, fire surpression tank, well storage tank), bar area and a entertainment area... The mud is drying on the drywall we hung last week so its landscaping time...

My wife and I purchased about a grand in plants shrubs and mulch, 1 of the 5 sections is done. Getting the landscaping dialed in...

The woods aroun the house is kinda a work in process, I cut down about 20 dead trees and thin out some brush so it looks much cleaner. I borrowed a 24' landscape trailer that I am loading up all the trees/brush.

Meh! You're just lucky.

I was explaining to one of my employees a while ago who said I was "just lucky".

What some people don't understand is the harder you work, the luckier you get. I've done my 70-90 hour weeks building a business. Now I play with fast cars and golf.
