40s are going to be tough but when you do the math its possible. We went 70flat @ 164 on back to back passes. Now we're 300# lighter with the same weight distribution %, we know we can coax another .07 out of the 60' along with another .04-.06 out of the 60' to 330' spread. Shawn made some changes to the motor which should allow it to make more power, last year our tuning window at 40+# of boost was narrow but we think we opened the window up with some changes.

So between
300#
finding the last .07 in the 60'
36# of boost back to the 42# we ran on the inital 164 pass
Just a slight change in power management from 1.2 to 3.1 seconds
and hauling *** out the back door with little converter slippage
Ideal first numbers are 1.16-1.17 & 3.0-3.02

All I can say is we're bringing our A-game.

So I guess it's safe to assume this season will be devoted to testing and tuning the new bullet??? Then come next season go full speed ahead and try to beat the Wolfe brigade?!?!

I don't think some people realize that we have real jobs that we have to be at.Paying the bills comes first. For me,my customers come first, that's why my car has been pushed to the side.

Maybe all you need to go 4.40-4.50s is a homebuilt ride and one of your powerplants.

I can understand that for sure. It was an easy $1000+ weekend for me to travel to races only a few 100 miles away, and that was just a crappy 10-second car. I can't imagine the money it takes to campaign a real race car, haul a real trailer, possibly a small crew, etc etc...
I guess I'll just have to come to MIR to watch some good radial racing one of these days, one of the tracks I've never been to.

Its fustrating, I called about the upgrade and I explicitly asked "Is this all I need" and Leo said yes. Of course I should have specified that I wanted the drivers soldered in the box, the box configured to run 16 injectors, and a wiring harness to control the injectors.

I've seen posts on YB about some bad customer service at bs3. What other companies make fuel injection for a combo like yours Phil ?

Makes a blow thru carb and a 7531 box seem really cheap doesn't it. Powski was running a blow thru last year, what was he using for an ignition system?

Granted the carb is a totally different animal with it's own problems....

Motec, that's not cheap at all. Last time I heard a price on one of those it was pretty steep.
