Got the front bar between the frame rails welded in and got both sides of the downpipe started....

I used a v-band at the front of the K-member and at the tip so it can be rotated for tuning purposes.

The AMS has no traction control, the BS3 has traction control but we have not used it yet.

what about aiming the pipe up and backwards as it comes out of the fender and cut it slanted even with the fender...will that not work the same and look WAY better?

Thought about that, saw a green older ride done using that technique. You lose some of the adjustment.

I do intend on cutting the tips back and painting them black so they blend in.

The horn set-up really does work and it is worth doing for the ET and chassis part of it but it just takes away from the look of the car. I'm not really sure what you can do to make them look good. I have given it a lot of thought and just really can't come up with a way to make it blend in.

Good luck with it. Ed

I have the down pipes facing down and back on my car. Hoping it helps lift the front so it can pull a wheelie. My turbo car only runs 8.0's at 94mph (1/8th)

If it were truely monkey see monkey do I'd have
Proline Big block
Twin 91s
18" Pecker extender
MSD boost controller
Precision stage control
on Methanol

I really could give 2 ***** if it looks gay, if it works and it makes it easier to get to the winners circle and collect a paycheck I'm doing it.

Man you hit the nail on the head with that one. I couldn't tell you how many people told me that is what you need to run in radial.

I wanted to go outside the box just like you did. I think 100% a small block can run up front in radial. Some of these guy's are making to much power. I would rather have less weight and less HP and just make it work better. It is also better on parts.

I've always done the same thing. Research, figure out if it can be done better, implement and improve. IMO Bull horns work, they can be done better, if the chassis is adjusted to work with the turned up exhaust performance will improve. As Wolfe pointed out they get the exhaust out from under the car and off the track.

If we can go 4.4anything with a small block and single 106....Just proves my points.

I have been told from some very well know racers that have had shock sensors and have dataloged it and say you see a big differnce after about 200 ft when you start to put the power to it. Somewhere in the area of 300lbs of extra pressure. That makes it worth it a lone.
