We're getting around 22% converter slippage now which will go down once we get a clean pass according to Marty. He said the launch will give the converter more time to couple vs pedaling and unloading. I tightened up the converter ~500rpms and tightened up the plugs at the same time.

Our last pass was a 5.7-5.8 @ 150, spun off the hit, we were out of the throttle for 2.36 seconds according to the BS3. Rolling on the gas @ 5.5# of boost it took 3.4 seconds to go to 50 to 150mph. We ran 25.5 out the back door on that pass with 4 degrees of timing out of the motor.

I've been reviewing the data from friday and there is definitely some information to be had. We've pulled the best data from each run and have found out why the car was killing the tires friday. This next time out should be alittle better.

What are some causes/effects that a newb like me could learn from? Can you explain any examples of what was happening and why???

Too much boost, too fast. Car is making too much power too early into the run and spinning the tires. A small tired car needs gradual application of the power and can take more power later into the run when the car is already moving. Good luck next time out guys. Sounds promising.

No he is hitting the tires too soft. On a radial with the suspension he has he needs to throw the power too it as hard as he can to slam the tire and plant it. Then start throwing power to it as fast as he can. If he can carry the front end a couple of inches across the 330 mark he will be flying.

Its hard to believe until you try it and it works.
Hit em hard and keep putting power to it.

Like Lynch where it's just the whole damn 1/8th on the back tires lol, 10.5 Outlaws a whole different game though.

Basically we found a couple points where we can add the boost fast(Car picks up 35-40mph per second). We had 3 runs where we spun and the car got behind the AMS-1000 and when I stood back on the car held all the power on each of the 3 runs. I have some very good data at different points at the track where I know how much power it will take. All I need to do now is figure out how to get to the 60' mark because we know how much power we can use from 40mph+.

This motor is very tricky because it makes soo much torque from the high compression, cam specs and top end package. I think friday we figured out it was using 21% more fuel than it did last year. The key is getting the inital bite and rolling the power in fast,
