Shawn knows what type of motor I expect and the budget I am working on. Sadly we blew the budget months ago and the motor isn't even 1/2 way together yet. To put things into perspective this motor is easily 35-40k+ retail side, the short block alone is probably 20k.

I have read this thing from front to back and have widened my knowledge greatly on this build. I have no doubt that Shawn and Phil have the Wizerdry to pull of the build of all builds, I wish I could have just the amount of LSx knowledge that Shawn has forgotten!!!
Good Luck and hope to see it up and ready soon....

Here is the deal, we're under a pretty tight schedule and taking pics & uploading them might only take 20 minutes, its 20 minutes we dont have. The race season starts in about 8 weeks which doesn't leave much time for building the motor and the minor fabrication work I need to do. I've scrapped making new headers and going to button the car up this week so all I need is a motor and make 1/2 of an intercooler pipe and the crossover pipe.
We've suffered soo many setbacks at this point its someone fustrating. From countless delays to having to change the build mid stream to trying to find new suppliers for parts its taken its toll. Sure, I'd love to have pics but I'd rather have a motor sitting in the car ready to roll.

All these headaches with the parts suppliers.. is exactly why I'm getting away from the ls stuff. It's cool and I love it.. but it's just such a pain in the *** to get anything done, because every damn thing is always custom in some way.
I hope your plans haven't suffered to the point that your goals are unreachable.

With the delay we had on the crank, pistons, heads, and a few other things, there is not going to be time to dyno it. Honestly there is really no need to dyno it. We've got a Map that should be close say within 5-7%, we know how much RPM the car likes to leave on as well as boost. The only other thing is the boost ramp rates and we already know what they need to be in real life and on the AMS-1000. Its time to make it happen.
Had the block not broke and the wastegate flange machining error happened, it would have ran a serious number last year. I think we had it turned down to 30# of boost when it went 160mph and it was soo lazy out of the hole due to the WG flange issue.
How are things on your ride? Heard Methanol and some other upgrades...

I spoke with Shawn just a few minutes ago and I can certainly understand his fustration. Our crankshaft was not made to our specifications which puts us at a critical point in the build. Sonny Bryant has said they would make it right we just need to figure out which road we want to continue on. Mistakes/Sh&t happen.
He seems to think I'll be able to pick up the motor in about 4 weeks leaving 2-3 weeks before the 1st local race.
