SFI 25.2 Mustang/LSx build "The Renegade"

I got the intake on the motor, got some medium and minor issues. I knew firewall clearance was going to be an issue to I need to trim that alittle. I've got a medium issue in the fuel rails on the bottom(they were supposed to be on the top) are hitting the distributor pickup. Going to head out early to look for some fixes. Its going to be a PITA I can imagine.

1) Cut the rail back, weld on a 90 degree #8 3/8" NPT fitting
2) Cut the rail back, weld on a 3/8" NPT fitting and screw in a 90 degree #8
3) Tap the bottom of the rail where it feeds the injector and screw in a straight 3/8" to #8

Ahh **** happens. Can't get worked up over it.
Got the upper intercooler pipe finished minus the 4" v-band I am adding for ease of installation.
Got the fuel system figured out and have all the fittings + new smaller fuel filter on the way. I've got 2 1/8" of room between the fuel rails and the intake, the old weldon filter was 2 3/8" and didnt fit, the new aeromotive is 2" and fits with alittle room.
I ended up ordering 3/8" bungs and am going to weld those on the front of the bottom fuel rails and use 3/8" to 8an 90 degree adapters. the fuel will run next to the intake runners turn right at the firewall and to the regulator.
Shant be long now.

I don't know if you'll want to entertain a really stupid question, but why are you running a distributor? I assume that is a really dumb question, and I probably missed the answer somewhere along the way in the thread, so I apolgize...

I hope this isn't a dumb reply... (I know my EFI, but not your engine.)
Do you still have the stock style "1 tooth" half-moon cam wheel installed Perhaps you could do away with the new cam trigger and use the stock one and sensor ?
Technically it ought to have the same effect - so long as the ECU sees one pulse per 720 degrees of crank.

Had a couple issues with the fuel pump mount but am working through it. The motor should be done tomorrow, still gotta weld a slug on the fuel pump bracket, add a timing pointer, and a plug to the rear of the crank. The chassis needs the firewall finished and some gussets on the frame rail.
